Line edit workflow for purchase orders and transfers improved

Changes to the line edit workflow in Purchase Order Entry and Transfer Entry have improved efficiency and usability. These changes were made:

  • When you drill into a line from the Edit Lines page, the page reopens after the edited line is saved or deleted, or the edit is canceled.

When you drill into a line from the Edit Lines page, it opens in Advance Line Entry mode and is available for editing. After you click Update or Cancel, the Edit Lines page is reopened. The data is refreshed if required. The grid page from which you accessed the line is displayed. For example, if you drilled into Line # 8 that was on page 2 in the grid, page 2 of the grid is displayed after you save your update. If you delete a line in Advance Line Entry mode, the grid page that opens depends on the number of records that are displayed per page in the grid and the number of line items.

  • The default line entry mode is honored after exiting the Edit Lines page.

When you click the back arrow to exit the Edit Lines page, the default line entry mode that is selected on the Entry Defaults page for Purchase Order Entry or Transfer Entry is opened.

These updates mirror the line edit workflow that is available in Sales Order Entry.
