Creating a new IPF instance

  1. In the Farm Manager, select Farm Configuration > IPF Instances.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify this information:
    Farm Name
    Select the farm to which to apply the new instance.
    IPF Instance Name
    Specify a name for the new instance. We recommend that you include the IPF instance and the IPF version in the name, because different instances could use the same version.
    IPF Version
    Select the new version.
  4. Click OK. The instance is added in a locked state until job processing finishes. When complete, an IIS WebApp pool is created with a single site and the IPF web application files are deployed to an IIS subdirectory. You can click Refresh to see when the lock has cleared.
