Updating a content version

To update a portal content version or an IPF content version, follow these steps.
Note: If you have made customizations to pages or components in your existing content, you must ensure that the customizations work in the new content before activating the content in a production portal.
  1. Download the new release files.
  2. In the Farm Manager, select Farm Configuration > Content Versions.
  3. Click Import.
  4. Find and select the new content version .zip file and click Open. A message is displayed after the content version is successfully imported.
  5. Activate the content: Launch the Portal Manager and select Portal Configuration > Content Activations.
  6. Click in the Version column next to the originator for updated content and select the new version.
  7. Click Save.
  8. If you are prompted to update schema, click Yes. Select the applicable check boxes and click OK.
  9. Open the Portal Manager for each portal that should be updated and repeat steps 5 – 8.
