Software recommendation

To personalize display layout scripts using the Portal Manager, we recommend that you have one of these on the machine where you run the Portal Manager:

• Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 or 2013, plus the .NET Framework 4.6.1 Developer Pack or Targeting Pack. The Developer Pack includes the Targeting Pack.
• Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2012 or 2013 for Web, plus the .NET Framework 4.6.1 Developer Pack or Targeting Pack. The Developer Pack includes the Targeting Pack.

Visual Studio Express for Web can be downloaded free from the Microsoft website.
