Upgrading

IPF architecture and portal content releases are delivered as separate ISO files in the Download Center on the Infor Support Portal.

IPF architecture releases include a new IPF Installer. You can upgrade the architecture using the new Installer or using your existing Farm Manager. Portal content and developer content are easily upgraded by importing the content version .zip files using your existing Farm Manager or Portal Manager.

Note: If you are upgrading a single-server farm and your Farm Manager version is less than 4.1.1.38, then you must use the IPF Installer for the upgrade. Earlier IPF versions do not support single-server updates with the Farm Manager, and they do not report an error when the upgrade is attempted.

These are the .zip files that can be imported for an upgrade:

IPF architecture version: IPFVersion v<version>.zip
Developer content (for portal customization): ContentVersion IPF <originatorversion> Dev Tools_<number>.ipf.zip. This .zip file is included in the IPF architecture ISO.

Caution:

Infor releases updates regularly. You are not required to take every update; however, it is important that you have a standard procedure on a periodic schedule for implementing our latest content and architecture versions.
