Uninstalling IPF and portals for a clean environment

To completely clear your environment of IPF and portal programs and files, perform these tasks in the specified order:

  1. Use the IPF Installer to uninstall the IPF Control Service. If you are uninstalling the IPF Control Service from the same machine where you are running the Installer, you must right-click the IPF.Installer file and run as administrator. Otherwise, do not run as administrator.
  2. Use Windows Programs and Features to uninstall the IPF Launcher Server app.
  3. Use SQL Server Management Studio to delete databases created by IPF. Right-click each database, select Delete, select Close existing connections, and click OK.
  4. Use the Internet Information Services Manager to remove sites and then application pools created by IPF.
  5. Use Windows Explorer to delete these directories and their content:
    • The Portal directory at C:\ProgramData\Infor\Portal
    • The IPF [version] and IPFReverseProxy directories at C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\IPF [version] and C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\IPFReverseProxy
  6. Restart the machine or machines.
