Setting up portal user accounts
Although portal users never see back office forms, they do access back office data through IDOs, so they must have a user account in the back office with appropriate licensing and permissions. The user logs in to the portal with this user account ID and password.
Note: To avoid row-level authorization conflicts,
portal user accounts should not be used for non-portal applications. For example, a
portal user account should not also be configured to be a back office user. They must be
separate accounts.
