Importing a digital certificate
When you provide the Personal Information Exchange (.p12) file and password, the name is extracted from the digital certificate and used as the digital certificate ID. The expiration date is also extracted and available as a read-only property.
The provided certificate file and password are stored in the IPFControl database.
Re-importing a digital certificate
You can provide an updated certificate file with a company name that matches an existing digital certificate ID. The digital certificate is updated in the IPF Control Database.
All portals that use the digital certificate need to be updated, and this is done through the asynchronous Update_DigitalCertificate job created for each farm.
Deleting a digital certificate
You can delete a digital certificate only if it is not being used by any host name.
Exporting a digital certificate
You can export a digital certificate to save for later use.
