Maintaining knowledge content

Individual pages are provided with the portals to display information such as press releases, white papers, videos, and announcements. You must add and maintain the content on these pages by accessing them in Administrator mode. This is done by logging in to the applicable portal using your portal data administrator account credentials. The portal opens to the Main page in Administrator mode and provides links to each of the knowledge content administration pages.

In Administrator mode, a link is also provided for importing portal knowledge content. Importing is used when migrating from earlier versions of the portal, and this is described in the Infor Portals Migration Guide.

About knowledge content in different languages

The page names and column headers on knowledge content pages are translated into different languages based on the portal user’s language selection. You can add content in different languages; however, the portal does not mark entries for a particular language or display only items that match the portal user’s selected language. The portal users see all items in all languages and must find the ones in their language. When adding knowledge content, we recommend that you specify the language as part of the filename or description.
