Adding related items
When a user is looking at a particular item on the portal, you may want the portal to also show a list of related items for the user to view. To set this up, you must first define reason codes to indicate how the items are related.
- Open the Related Item Reason Codes form.
- Specify a reason code and a description for each relationship. For example, the description could be Recommended Item. The reason code and description are not displayed on the portal and are used only for reference. However, the reason code is required on the Items form in order to add related items.
- Open the Items form.
- On the Related Items tab, specify any items that should appear as recommended items when the selected item is displayed on the portal. Also select a reason code for the related items.
