Setting up Configurator UI parameters

Before setting parameters for the Configurator user interface, Infor CPQ and its integration with must already be set up. Also, a default user profile that uses English as the default language must be available in Infor CPQ Design Studio for use with the Portal Configurator UI.

With those prerequisites met, follow these steps to set Configurator UI parameters:

  1. Open the Inventory Parameters form.
  2. On the Product Configuration tab, specify this information:
    Configurator Web Service URL
Specify the URL for the Infor CPQ Configurator web service. The service file name is ProductConfiguratorUI.svc, and the path was defined when the Infor CPQ product was installed. For example: http://myserver/CPQ/ConfiguratorService/V2/ProductConfiguratorUI.svc.
    Default Profile
Specify the profile name that was created in Design Studio for the Portal Configurator UI.
    Enable Configurator for Portal
For version 9.00.30, you must select this check box to enable the Configurator UI for the portals. For version 9.01.x and later, you must specify the Configurator UI to use. You can choose the native CPQ Configurator UI or the Portal Configurator UI. The Portal Configurator UI was designed specifically for IPF portals.
Note: If this field is cleared or changed to None, while you still have items in the back office that are set to be configurable and active for the portals, the Customize button remains available on the portal. If the button is clicked, a message is displayed saying that the Configurator is not in service.
