Creating a custom content version

When you enable a portal for development, a custom content version is created automatically and made the editable originator.

With the portal enabled for development, you can create additional custom content versions on the Content Versions tab under Content Development. When you add a custom content version, it becomes the editable originator, replacing the existing one. It is also activated in the portal configuration.

  1. In the Portal Manager, select Content Development > Content Versions.
  2. Click New.
  3. Specify this information:
    Originator
    This indicates the organization, product, or project for which components are being developed. In most cases, you will specify your company name as the originator for components you add or personalize for the portal.
    Version
    Specify the version for this content.
  4. Click OK. The content version is added and automatically made the editable originator.
