Edit Message Text
Use this dialog box to create complex messages for a prompt.
Messages can consist of any of these options:
- String IDs are translatable strings stored in the system, created using the Strings dialog box. When this option is selected, select the string from the drop-down list.
- Literals are strings that display exactly as you create them. They are not translated.
- Formatted Text are the most complex messages you can create. Any text you enter is treated as a literal string value, but you can use substitution values to present property values such as form captions or entered values. For substitution values, assign each place in the text that you want to be substituted at runtime with a percent sign (%), followed by a number (n). At runtime each defined value is substituted with the current value in place of the %n. Use the grid at the bottom of the form to define substitution values.
