Low-Level on Line
Select this box to instruct the system to automatically recalculate low-level codes of affected items when a change is made to a bill of material. Clear the box to prevent automatic recalculation.
See Low Level Code for an explanation of how the system uses low-level codes.
When you add a material, the system compares the material's low level code (as defined on the Items form) to the parent item's low level code. If the material's code is a lower number, the system sets it to the parent's low level code + 1. The system then reads through the material's entire indented bill of material and adjusts any low level codes that need to be changed.
