Archiving a form or object removes it from the active development
environment and places it in a special archive database. You can archive an
object only if no one has it checked out.
To archive a global object:
-
Open the
Form Control
form.
-
In the
Actions group box, select
Archive.
-
Select the
Global Objects tab.
-
In the
Selection criteria list,
select the type of global object you want to archive.
-
In the
Master object name field,
select the name of the object you want to restore.
Note: The list of objects available in the
Master object name field
depends on the type of object you selected.
Form Control displays this information about the selected object:
- Locked by user
- This field should be blank. If anyone has the object checked
out, you cannot archive the object until it has been checked in or unlocked.
- Master value
- The value that the object has in the master database is
displayed.
- Archive value
- The value, if any, that the object has in the archive
database is displayed.
-
Click
Execute Action.
-
When prompted, click
OK.
