This table shows the available Layout user preferences options in the web client:

Option Description/Comments/Procedures
Theme Select a theme from the list.

These themes are provided with the application:

  • Infor: This is the default theme. Menu items are displayed at the top of the application window, in the menu bar. The My Folders menu and Master Explorer menu appear as sub-menus under the Explorer menu.
  • Classic: This theme provides the look and feel of previous versions of the application. Menus are displayed at the top of the application window in the menu bar. In the Windows client, there are choices of various background and foreground colors, fonts, required field indicators, the appearance of the Explorer, and more.
  • Light: This theme is the rebranded Infor theme that provides a lighter user interface look and feel.
  • Dark: This theme provides a darker user interface look and feel. This theme is a combination of the colors black, for the background, and white, for the buttons, menus, texts, and labels.

Aside from the themes that are provided with the application, user-created themes, if available, are also displayed on the list.

Note:  In the web client, only the settings for background colors, foreground colors, and fonts are applied. Theme settings for the menu bar, group boxes, and notebook tabs, are not applied in the web client.
Update Existing View This option is selected by default. When selected, the theme is applied immediately. When cleared, you have to refresh the browser to apply theme changes.
Tabbed Form Layout This option is selected by default. When selected, forms are shown in tabbed form layout. When cleared, forms are shown in Multiple Document Interface (MDI) layout.

When selected, tabs for each form are shown at the top of the screen. If you open a linked or modal child form from within another form, then tabs for the child forms are tagged as such. You can click and drag to reorder the tabs across the top of the screen.

When cleared, forms open as undocked floating items, also known as Multiple Document Interface (MDI) layout. You can click and drag to move floating items around.

Display Status Bar To display the status bar as a footer in the web browser, select this option.

When selected, the status bar is displayed as footer in a browser window. The record count, and current record number in the current collection and field, are also displayed. If no form is active, the texts "en-US" and "Powered by Infor" are displayed on the status bar.
