Working with Sales Orders

Use the Sales Order details screen to view, add, or modify the information for a selected Sales Order.

The Sales Order details screen comprises of these tabs:

  • DETAILS: The details related to the sales order can be viewed and modified.
  • RELATED: The entities related to the item section can be viewed and modified. These entities are:
    • Address
    • Files
    • Invoice Line Items
    • Notes
    • Sales Order Item
    • Shipment Line Items

To review or modify the Sales Order details:

  1. Select Sales Orders from the navigation bar. The Sales Orders list screen is displayed.
  2. Click the sales order number. The Sales Order details screen is displayed.
  3. Select the Details tab.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. View or modify these information:
    Order ID
    The unique ID assigned when the sales order is created.
    Account
    The account associated with the sales order.
    Order Type
    The order type.
    Purchase Order
    The Purchase Order number of the customer.
    Warehouse
    The warehouse linked to the sales order.
    Currency Code
    The currency code for the sales order.
    Exchange Rate
    The exchange rate for the selected currency.
    Note: This field cannot be modified.
    Order Total
    The total amount for the sales order excluding discounts and tax.
    Note: This field cannot be modified.
    Discount Total
    The total discount amount for the sales order.
    Note: This field cannot be modified.
    Tax Total
    The total tax amount for the sales order.
    Note: This field cannot be modified.
    Grand Total
    The total amount for the sales order including discounts and tax.
    Note: This field cannot be modified.
    Order Date
    The date the customer placed the sales order.
    Due Date
    The date by which the sales order must be delivered.
    Requested By
    The contact requesting the sales order.
    Account Manager
    The individual in the company who is responsible for the account.
    Status
    The status of the sales order.
    Sync Status
    The synchronization status of the sales order.
    External ID
    The order number from the integrated ERP application.
    Bill To Name
    The name of the bill to record associated to the sales order.
    Ship To Name
    The name of the ship to record associated to the sales order.
    Opportunity
    The opportunity associated with the sales order.
    Comments
    The additional notes about the sales order.
  6. Click Save.
    Note: The sales order is automaticaly promoted to the ERP if Allow Auto-Promotion to ERP option is enabled on the Sales Order Type maintenance page. The order status must be any of this:
    • New
    • Approved
    • Transmitted to Accounting
    • Sales Hold
    • Open
