Opportunity Snapshot

The information in the Opportunity Snapshot is displayed based on the opportunity status.

You can view the value and summary information about the selected opportunity in the Opportunity Snapshot. You can use the Sales Potential option on the Opportunity details page to view this snapshot.

The information in the Opportunity Snapshot is displayed based on the opportunity status and you can modify the information, if applicable.

This data is displayed in the Opportunity Snapshot:

Override Sales Potential
If this check box is selected, you can modify the default Sales Potential value.
Sales Potential
The total revenue to be gained by the opportunity. The total value of all the associated products is included.
Note: You can modify this value only if the Override Sales Potential check box is selected.
Actual Amount
The total amount of the sale that is entered when the opportunity is closed.
Weighted
The total revenue to be gained from the Opportunity. This value is calculated by multiplying the Sales Potential with the Probability specified for the Opportunity.
Note: You cannot modify this value.
Currency (Multi-Currency Only)
The opportunity currency type and conversion rate that is set for the Opportunity on the User Options page. The Sales Potential is converted to this currency type and rate.
Exchange Rate (Multi-Currency Only)
The exchange rate if the opportunity is created using a different currency type.
Note: You cannot modify this value.
Exchange Rate Date (Multi-Currency Only)
The date on which the currency is set.
Note: You cannot modify this value
Lock in the rate for this Opportunity (Multi-Currency Only
If this check box is selected, the current exchange rate is saved for this opportunity.

You can use the Copy Opp Info to Email option to send an email with the opportunity information in the email body. Microsoft Outlook opens, and a copy of the current Opportunity's information is displayed in the email. The information includes the Opportunity description, Account name, Account Manager name, Reseller name, estimated close date, close probability, and comments. Additionally, it includes Product, Competitor, and Contact information from the Opportunity Snapshot.
