Closing an Opportunity

To close an opportunity, you must change the status of the opportunity to Closed-Won or Closed-Lost on the Opportunity details page. It is recommended that you close an opportunity even if the opportunity does not result in a sale. You must provide the reason for closing the opportunity, for future reference and reporting purpose.
