Scheduling an Activity

Use the Quick Add Activity view to schedule an activity.

  1. Select Event, Meeting, Phone Call, or Task from the Quick Add menu.
    Note: You can schedule also a activity using the Insert option from the Contacts related section.
  2. Specify this information:
    Subject
    A brief description of the activity.
    Start Date, End Date

    The Start date and time and End date and time for event, meeting, and phone call.

    Due Date
    The due date and time of the task.
    All Day Event
    Indicates whether the Start time and End time or Due time are removed making the activity timeless.
    Location
    A location for the activity.
    Time Zone
    The primary time zone where the activity occurs, if required. By default, this is the time zone specified for the signed in user.
    Add as Participant
    Select this check box to identify associated contact or lead as an activity participant.
    Note: This check box is displayed only If you are scheduling the activity in the context or a contact or lead.
  3. Click Submit.
    A message is displayed in the right corner with a link to view the new record and add additional activity details.
