Back Office Extension overview

Back Office Extension integrates Infor CRM Sales Cloud with other Infor products. These integrations provide users with access to enterprise level customer content and business interactions including quotes, sales orders, shipments and invoices.

The other Infor products:

  • Infor CRM Sales Cloud provides access to the organization’s relationships and interactions with accounts, contacts, leads, and qualified prospects.
  • Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is an integrated management system for enterprise level business processes, for order fulfillment, service management, production, distribution, billing and accounting. The ERP systems can be referred to as a host system or the system of record.
  • Infor Open Network (ION) is a subscriber based process for routing Business Object Documents (BODs) between applications. BODs describe business related information such as customers and contacts or customer interactions such as quotes, sales orders, shipments or invoices.

    The Back Office Extension administration user interface provides the means of configuring the Infor CRM integration with one or more Infor ION enabled host systems.

An integrated environment is created when the Back Office Extension is enabled and these entities are added to the Infor CRM Sales Cloud user interface:

  • Invoices
  • Receivables
  • Shipments
  • Bill To
  • Ship To
  • Pay From

In an integrated environment, values are defaulted from the ERP and cannot be modified.
