Using Punch In and Punch Out

Use Punch In to start tracking your time when working on a ticket.

To punch in:

  1. Click Punch In in the top right section from the Ticket details page of the selected ticket. The option changes toPunch Out and Start Time is logged.
  2. Click the Punch In option to add a new worklog record in the Worklog related Item. The Start Date is populated with the date and time when the ticket is punched in. Modify the worklog item to add more details after you punch in. See Editing a Ticket Worklog.
Note: The Punch In option is available for tickets created recently and when existing tickets are punched out.

Use Punch Out to stop tracking the time when the work on a ticket is completed.

Note: The Punch Out option is available only when the ticket is already punched in.

    To punch out:

Click Punch Out in the top right section from the Ticket details page of the selected ticket.

The option changes to Punch In and the time spent working on the ticket is added to Total Work Time.

From the Worklog related item, the currently added worklog record End Date is populated with the date and time the ticket is punched out.
Note: If the My Open Worklogs filter is selected, the next punched in ticket is displayed, as the punching out of the tickets means the ticket no longer meets the filter criteria.
