Editing Activity Details

Use the Activity details page to add or modify an activity or to view in-depth information about an activity, including date, time, duration, and notes. After scheduling an activity, you can add additional information such as participants, make an activity recurring, or attach files. You can also complete or delete an activity after you schedule the activity.

Note: The calendar security determines whose activities you can schedule, modify, complete, accept/decline, or delete. You can also view activities associated with contacts, leads, accounts, opportunities, or tickets that you can access.
  1. Click Activities in the navigation pane. The Activities list page is displayed.
  2. Click the activity name. The Activity details page is displayed.
  3. View or modify this information:
    Subject
    The Subject of the activity.
    Location
    The location at which the activity is organised.
    Start Date
    The date on which activity starts.
    End Date
    The date on which activity ends.
    Reminder
    A reminder set for the activity.
    Compare Time Zones
    The activity is scheduled based on the time zones of the participants.
    Timeless All Day Event
    Select this check box to create an activity that occurs on a specific date, without a specific time and duration.
    Repeat Pattern
    The cycle in which the activity repeats. The recurring activities take place simultaneously each day, week, month, or year.
    Details
    The details related to the activity.
    Leader
    The name of the leader of the activity. By default, the user who created the activity is the activity leader.
    Priority
    The priority set for the activity.
    Category
    The category in which the activity is set.
    Notes
    The notes related to this ativity.
  4. Select the category of the activity in the Category field.
  5. Specify the name or email address of the user, contact, lead or email of a person who must attend the activity on the PARTICIPANTS tab.
    You can also view whether a participant has accepted, tentatively accepted, declined, or not yet responded. If you are the leader, you can also view responses from participants by resting the pointer on the icon that displays next to the name of the participant.
  6. Specify the name of a resource on the RESOURCES tab, to assign to the activity.
  7. Click Add Association on the ASSOCIATIONS tab. You can click the record type that you are required to associate.
    • Click Add as participant if available to add an associated contact or lead as a participant. To clear the message, click the Do not add icon.
    • Click Remove to remove an associated record.
  8. Click the FILES tab to add or view a document or URL.
  9. Click Submit.
