Back Office Extension integration
Back Office Extension is a feature in Infor CRM CE that enables integrating with a supported Infor Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. If the Back Office Extension integration is enabled, the Infor ION framework is used to manage the flow of real-time data between CRM and ERP.
- Infor CRM manages outward-facing front office sales activities.
- ERP is the core framework that is used to manage inward-facing back office
business operations, such as:
- Order management
- Service request management
- Production
- Distribution
- Accounting
The functionality in each integration is based on the ERP. Enabling an ERP integration adds list page and related sections for Invoices, Shipments, and Receivables to the Infor CRM CE UI. Enabling an ERP integration adds additional fields to other areas of the UI.
The Infor CRM Back Office integration contains:
- The Logical ID, as defined by the ION connection point for the host system of record
- The Default record owner and account manager
- The Active language code for content
- BOD Mappings, defining the set of supported BODs
- Price Services, defining the set of supported pricing web services
- Accounting Entities, defining the set of business entities published by the host system of a record
Note: An integration with Infor ION must be configured before Back Office Extension integration
can be enabled successfully.
