Working with Accounts
- Select Master Explorer > Sales > Accounts. The Account list page is displayed.
- Click the name of the account. The Account details page is displayed.

More to view or modify this information:
- Account
- A company with which you have a current or potential business relationship.
- Division
- The division in the company to which the account belongs.
- Parent Account
- The account to which this account is a child or a subsidiary.The division in the company to which the account belongs.
- Primary Phone
- The main telephone number for account.
- Website
- The web address of the account. You can specify the official website of the account. Click URL to view the website.
- Address
- The address or the location of the account. Click Edit to access the Edit Address window. To view the address on the map, click Map. If the Contour integration is enabled and configured, a map is opened using the Contour provider. If a provider is not configured, the address opens in MapQuest.
- Region
- The region in which the account is located.
- Description of Business
- A description of the account business.
- Default Sales Order Type
- The division in the company to which the default Order Type
when a new sales order is created for the Account.Note: This is applicable only for M3 integrated customers.
- Requested Delivery Number of Days
- The Due
Date on Add New Sales Order
window is defaulted to the current date when a new sales order is
created.Note: This is applicable only for M3 integrated customers.
- Maximum Days
- When a new sales order is created and Due Date field on Add
New Sales Order window is modified, the difference
between current date and modified Due
Date is compared against the value set on this
field. If the difference exceeds the value set on this field, the
difference is then compared against Maximum Days set for the sales order Accounting
Entity and order type in Accounting Entity Sales Order
Type maintenance page. A warning message is displayed
if the difference is more than the value of Maximum Days in
Accounting Entity Sales Order Type
maintenance page.Note: This is applicable only for M3 integrated customers.
- Qualified
- The Qualified option identifies if an account is qualified or unqualified. Unqualified accounts are typically accounts that are associated with leads. When a lead is qualified, the Qualified option on the associated account is selected automatically. If an account is not qualified, it is not included in Account filters or lookups unless the Only include qualified accounts option is cleared.
- Type
- The category of the Account.
- Sub Type
- The sub-category of the account.
- Status
- The current status of the Account.
Possible values:
- Active
- Dormant
- On Credit Hold
- Industry
- The industry to which the Account belongs.
- Account Manager
- The person or team within the organization that manages the account relationship.
- Owner
- User or team of users with access rights to the account.
- Distribution Chain
- The list of distribution chain for the account.
- Advertising Circle
- The list of advertising circle for the account.
- Promotion Type
- The type of promotion considered for the account. Possible
values:
- In/Out
- Standard
- Talon
- Profile Image
- The initials or image that represents the account. If no image has been previously uploaded, the initials of the Account is displayed. To edit, rest the pointer on the Profile Image..
- Allow Ad Hoc Products
- If set to Yes, the
Ad Hoc Product Lookup
is available on the Product Lookup window when
a new sales order is created for the account. The permissions are
defaulted based on the sales order Accounting Entity and Order Type in
Accounting Entity Sales Order Type
maintenance page.Note: This is applicable only for M3 integrated customers.
- Allow Price Visibility
- If set to Yes, price
and discount information are visible in Sales Order. The permissions
are defaulted based on the sales order Accounting Entity and Order Type in
Accounting Entity Sales Order Type
maintenance page.Note: This is applicable only for M3 integrated customers.
- Allow Stock Visibility
- If set to Yes, the
Stock Enquiry option
is available on the Product Lookup window when
a new sales order is created for the account. The permissions are
defaulted based on the sales order Accounting Entity and Order Type in
Accounting Entity Sales Order Type
maintenance page.Note: This is applicable only for M3 integrated customers.
- Signature Required
- If set to Yes, the
Signature Capture window is displayed when
a new sales order is created for the account. The permissions are
defaulted based on the sales order Accounting Entity and Order Type in
Accounting Entity Sales Order Type
maintenance page.Note: This is applicable only for M3 integrated customers.
- Pallet Discount Model
- The pallet discount model to which the account is associated.

- Track Price
- Select the check box corresponding to Track Price to track the prices of the product when executing a survey.
- Click the History tab to view the history of activities performed on the selected Account. Click View Full List to view all the activities.
- Click the Files tab to view the history of attachments linked to the selected Account. Click View Full List to view all the attachments.
- Expand or collapse an entity related section to add, review or modify the data defined for the various entities linked to the Accounts.
- Click Save. You can use the other functions from the details page toolbar.
