Updating the Rating field for Multiple Competitors

The Competitor Rating is a numeric value that represents the competitor standing relative to other competitors in an industry. This rating is considered the default when the competitor is added to an opportunity. The rating can be edited in the context of that opportunity.

Note: You can use the Update feature to change the Rating value for one or more Competitor records at a time.
  1. Access Master Explorer > System Administration > Configuration And Users > Competitors and select the check boxes of one or more records that you are required to update.
  2. Click in the grid and click Update.
  3. Select the Update check box in the Bulk Update Competitors form.
  4. Perform one of these:
    • Select the Clear check box to clear the Rating field for the selected competitor records. Or,
    • Select a value from the Rating list to update the Rating field for the selected Competitor records.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. Click Yes to confirm the update.
    Note: The information to be updated is listed for you to review before confirming the update.
