Using the Competitor details page

The Competitors view displays the names of organizations identified as your organization’s rivals, along with summaries of their strengths, weaknesses, and strategies.

Note: The workspace can be different depending on the access rights or if the installation has been customized. You must be logged into the Infor CRM Administration Client and have appropriate permissions to perform this task.

To open the Competitor details page, select Master Explorer > System Administration > Configuration And Users > Competitors from the navigation pane.

On this page:

  • You can add a competitor: In the details page menu bar, click New, type information into the fields, and then click Save.
  • You can edit a competitor: In the grid, select the competitor to be edited. Information for that competitor populates the information boxes. Edit the desired information and then click Save.
  • You can remove a competitor: In the grid, select the competitor to be deleted. From the Detail page, click Delete

You can specify this information:

Field Name Description
Competitor The competitor's name.
Account Click Find and select an account using the lookup.
Contact Click Find and select a contact.
Phone The competitor's phone number.
Web Address The competitor's web address.
Rating The competitor's rating.
Weaknesses The competitor's weaknesses.
Strengths The competitor's strengths.
Strategy The sales strategy that the competitor uses.
Notes Notes about the competitor.
