Creating a POS Order
Use the Add New Sales order page to create a POS order.
Note: The data for the product selected on the Custom
Setting Maintenance page must be same as the POS item group in the M3
application.
- Select the Add New Sales Order. The New Sales Order Wizard page.
- Specify this information:
- Account
- The account to which the order is linked.
- Order Type
- The type of order.Note: By default, this field is set to POS Order.
- Warehouse
- The warehouse for which the order is created.
- Status
- The status of the sales order.
- Order Date
- The date on which the customer placed the sales order.Note: The current date is defaulted in the Order Date field.
- Due Date
- The date by which the sales order must be delivered.Note: The current date is defaulted in the Due Date field if no date is specified.
- Currency
- The currency code for the sales order.
- Account Manager
- The person or team that manages the account for this sales order. The value is defaulted based on the specified Account.
- Opportunity
- The opportunity linked to the sales order.
- Click Next on the New Sales order wizard window to open the product lookup.

Specify the quantity for the selected product in the Quantity field.
Note: The following fields are specific for the POS order type:
- Details
- Products
- Description
- Quantity
- Available Quantity (calculated value)
- Maximum Quantity (set up in Account>Product)
- Purchased Quantity (calculated value)
- Stock Quantity (Inventory available, from ERP)
- Click Submit. The Sales Order summary page is displayed.
- Verify the Order line details on the Sales Order Summary page and click Next.
- Verify the order header and line details.

Click Promote to sync the order
details in M3. The Sales Order BOD is published.
Note: You can hover over the Sync status icon to view the Sync Status. After promoting the sales order, its sync status is updated to Published.
- Click Submit to close the Sales Order Wizard window. The Sales Order has been created message is displayed on the right corner of the Sales Order page.
- Click the sales order number to access the Sales Order details page.
- Click the menu and select the Accounting from the order header. The Accounting page is displayed.
- Copy the corresponding M3 customer order number from the External ID field.
- Click the App menu and select Infor M3 to access the Infor M3 application.

Verify the Company and Division on the M3 application.
Note: The company and division must be 400 ATA.
- Press Ctrl + R and specify OIS300.
- Click OK. The Customer order list page is displayed.
- Specify the M3 customer order number (from CRM sales order’s External ID field) in the Customer Order numberfield to view the POS order details.
