Scheduling a Background Task in Infor CRM

  1. Select Master Explorer > System Administration > Background Task Definitions from the navigation pane. The Background Task Definition page is displayed.
  2. Click the required record name.
  3. Click Schedule New Task. The Background Task Schedule page is displayed.
  4. Set the Start Date and End Date of the task schedule. To set the task schedule to run indefinitely, select the No End Date check box.
  5. Select an interval to run the scheduled Background task.

    For example, if you select Weekly, specify that the task runs every third week.

    The options are:

    • Once: The task is run only after the specified date and time in the Occurs Once At field.
    • Daily: The task is run daily, you must specify these:
      • The interval in days, in the Occurs Every Days field.
      • The time of day in the Occurs Once field.
    • Weekly: The task is run on a weekly basis. You must specify these:
      • The interval in weeks, in the Recurs Every Weeks On field.
      • The days of the week on which the task is run.
      • The time of day in the Occurs Once field.
    • Monthly: The task is run on a monthly basis. You must specify these:
      • The day of the month in the On Day field.
      • The interval in months in the Recurs Every Months field.
      • The time of the day in the Occurs Once field.
    • Monthly Relative: The task is run on the same week and day of each month. For example, the first Monday of the month. You must specify these:
      • Week number and day of the week in the Occurs fields.
      • The interval in months in the Recurs Every Month(s) field.
      • The time of day in the Occurs Once field.

    You can set a task to run multiple times in a day, by specifying the frequency of occurrence in the Occurs Every fields.

    Specify the start and end time in the Start Time and End Time fields respectively.

  6. Click Submit.
