Customize a BOD Mapping

Infor CRM Back Office Extension only. Each BOD Mapping defines the transformation of a specific Business Object Document (BOD) noun into integrated Infor CRM content. Potential BOD nouns include Customer Party Master, Contact Master, Ship To Party Master, Bill To Party Master, Quote, Sales Order, Shipment, Invoice and Receivable Transaction.

To Customize BOD Mapping name, click Integrations > Back Extension Offices Tab > BOD Pack name > BOD Mappings Tab.
Note: Only the system administrators and users with the appropriate permission can access these features.
  1. Select the BOD Mapping tab on the Back Office details page and click Customize link.
    Note: The Customize link is replaced with Edit link indicating that the selected BOD mapping can be modified.
  2. Specify this information:
    Back Office
    The back office associated with the BOD mapping. This is a read-only field.
    BOD Mapping
    The display name of the BOD mapping. Specify a unique and descriptive name for the BOD mapping when adding a new ION field mapping.
    Noun
    The noun, as defined by the BOD standard, to be processed by the BOD Mapping record. For example, Customer Party Master, Contact Master, Quote, Sales Order. Each supported noun has one unique BOD Mapping that describes the transformation of the BOD content into integrated CRM content.
    IDO
    The Infor CRM IDO, or the record type that is mapped. Click the drop-down arrow and select from the list.
    Inherit Owner From
    Designates the parent entity from which the mapped entity inherits ownership.
    Delete Behavior
    Use this option to set the delete behavior for integrated records. Click the drop-down arrow and select one of these:
    • Hard: Deletes the record from the database if the host system accepts the delete request.
      Note: Some host systems do not support delete requests.
    • Soft: Changes the record status to delete but does not delete the record from the database.
    Unique ID Node
    The attributes contained in the Unique XPath which may be used to define the Accounting Entity and variation ID attributes of the integration specific unique ID. To edit the ID node, refer to the guidelines in the ION Technical guide available from Infor Concierge.
    Unique ID XPath
    The XPath in the BOD which contains the integration specific unique ID. To edit the XPath, refer to the guidelines in the ION Technical guide available from Infor Concierge.
    Generate Outbound Template
    When this check box is selected Infor CRM regenerates the outbound template based on BOD field mapping updates. This option must be cleared if the outbound template is manually modified.
    Active
    Use this option to turn on or turn off synchronization for this BOD mapping.
    Custom
    Identifies custom, editable BOD mappings.
    Outbound On Create
    Determines promotion of new data from Infor CRM to the integrated host system. Includes the automatic promotion of dependent entities when they are related to a promoted account. Possible values:
    • Automatic: Promotion and updates are automatically published to the integrated host system. Requires no action by the user.
    • User Triggered: Promotion and updates are published to the integrated host system only after the user clicks Promote.
    • Disabled: New content is not published to the integrated host system.
    Outbound On Delete
    Determines notification to the host system of integrated content that has been marked for deletion in Infor CRM. Possible values:
    • Automatic: Deletions are automatically published to the integrated host system. Requires no action by the user.
    • User Triggered: Deletions are published to the integrated host system only after the user clicks Promote. Integrated content is soft deleted with a status updated of Deleted.
    • Disabled: Deletions are not published to the integrated host system. Deletion of integrated content is unsupported.
    Outbound On Update
    Determines promotion of updated data from Infor CRM to the integrated host system. Possible values:
    • Automatic: Updates to integrated content are automatically published to the integrated back office application. Requires no action by the user.
    • User Triggered: Updates are published to the integrated back office application only after the user clicks Promote.
    • Disabled: Updates are not published to the integrated back office application.
    System of Record
    Select the application to use as the system of record. Options are Back Office or CRM.
  3. Click Save.
