Administering Picklists

Use the Detail view to see, add, or edit information for a selected record.

Use the details page to view, add, or edit information for a selected record.

Note: You must be logged into the Infor CRM Administration Client and have appropriate permission to perform this task.

To go to the details page access System Administration from the Navigation bar, click Picklists and locate the required record and click the record name.

You can view this information:

Field Name Description
Picklist Name The Picklist code.
Display Name The Picklist display name.
Display Determines the field being displayed to represent an item in the application interface (Text or Code).
Type Determines the field being saved for a selected item (Text or Code).
Sort Order Determines the item order when viewed in the picklist (Text, Code or Sequence).
Parent Picklist Picklists can have a hierarchical structure to them. This field links the current Picklist to its Parent’s ID.
Allow multiple selections

If this check box is selected, user can select multiple items in a picklist.

If this check box is not selected, user can to select one item in a picklist at a time.

Required entry

If this check box is selected, this field is required.

If this check box is not selected, this field is optional.

Text must match a list item

If this check box is selected, user must select an item in the picklist.

If this check box is not selected, user can type in their own value.

Show Demo Form This button navigates you to the demo form, where you can test out some of the functionality of picklists, as well as try filtering out on the picklist you are viewing.
