Understanding Price Adjustments for Back Office integrated quotes and sales orders

The Infor CRM SLX Price Adjusment feature enables an authorized Infor CRM SLX user to adjust the integrated quotes or sales orders unit pricing. The authorized Infor CRM SLX users can specify an adjustment value per-unit or a percentage-based adjustment. For each instance, the actual unit price adjustment is published to the host ERP system as an adjustment percentage.

The integrated price adjustment feature depends on the host ERP system supporting price adjustments as part of the sales order promotion process.

Note: You can only implement Price Overrides or Price Adjustments. If both options are enabled, Price Override is ignored.

These are the types of adjustments:

Unit Adjustment

Used to modify the per unit price of a product by increasing or decreasing the base price by a fixed amount per unit.

Note:
  • A positive number indicates an additional charge that increases the Unit Price by the specified value.
  • A negative number signifies a discount, that decreases the Unit Price by the specified value.
  • You must modify only one value, either Unit Adjustment or Percent, as the other is automatically calculated if one is modified.
  • Adjustments can be modified only if price adjustments are enabled.
  • If modified, other fields are recalculated only after moving focus outside of the field.

Percent

This type of adjustment is used to modify the unit price by a specified percentage, applying a discount or a markup.

  • Any specified number is automatically converted to a percentage. For example, '50' becomes '50%', and '.5' becomes '.5%'.
  • A positive number indicates an additional charge, that increases the Unit Price by the specified percentage value
  • A negative number signifies a discount, that decreases the Unit Price by the specified percentage value.
  • You must modify only one value, either Unit Adjustment or Percent, as the other is automatically calculated if one is edited.
  • Adjustments can be modified only if price adjustments are enabled.
  • If modified, other fields are recalculated only after moving focus outside of the field.

The actual unit price adjustment is published to the host ERP system as an adjustment percentage.
