Managing Currency

You can enable multi-currency support if the company has Infor CRM SLX users in multiple countries using different currencies. Once multi-currency support is enabled, you can add or edit Exchange Rates and set a base currency to be used with opportunities, sales orders, quotes, and products.

Note: The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features.

To enable multi-currency support and set defaults:

  1. Select Administration > Office Profiles on the navigation bar. The Office Profiles List view is displayed.
    Note: You can, use the Lookup tab to locate an office profile, and click on the required company's name. The Office Profile detail view is displayed.
  2. Click the Currency tab.
  3. Select the Enable Multi-Currency check box. If prompted, click OK. The Exchange Rates option is added to the navigation bar.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Perform one of these actions:
    • Click the Base Currency Code (Find) icon to use the lookup to find the primary currency the company uses to conduct business.
      • If the base currency is listed, select the currency and click OK.
      • If you cannot find your base currency, click Cancel. You must add an exchange rate for the desired currency.
    • Select the Enable Dated Exchange Rates check box to maintain multiple sets of exchange rates for each currency in Infor CRM SLX, based on the time period. A message is displayed to indicate that the functionality cannot be disabled. You can click OK to enable of this functionality.
      Note: If you select this option, the Exchange Rates option on the navigation bar is replaced with the Dated Exchange Rates option.
    • Select the Allow users to lock Opportunity's rate check box to enable users to lock the currency exchange rate for individual opportunities. Opportunities with locked exchange rates are not changed when you update opportunity currency rates.
    • Select the Allow users to change an Opportunity's rate check box to enable users to change the currency exchange rate for individual opportunities.
    • Select the Allow users to change Sales Order's rate check box to enable users to change the currency exchange rate for sales orders.
    • Select the Allow users to change Quote's rate check box to enable users to change the currency exchange rate for quotes.
      Note: These options are displayed when the Enable Multi-Currency check box is selected.
  6. Select one of the Currency Control Decimal Digits option to determine the number of decimal places to display in currency controls, tab grid columns, and list view currency columns that are not formatted. Formatted currency columns can use the specified format.
    • Use control setting value: Select this option to use the decimal setting specified for the control.
    • Use system setting below: Select this option to specify the number of decimal places for the Number of Digits field. Only single-digit numbers between zero and nine are valid.
  7. Click Save.
