Modifying Opportunity product information

Use this window to enter product information such as quantity, price, or discount.

To modify opportunity product information:

  1. Access Opportunity detail view and click Products tab. See Using the Opportunity detail view
  2. Click Edit hyperlink of the product to modify or make your changes in the Product grid. See Opportunity products
  3. Modify these fields:
    Line Number
    Displays the line number assigned to each item on the opportunity.
    Product
    Displays the product name.
    Description
    The description of the product. You can add or edit the description.
  4. Modify these fields in the Pricing tab, if non-integrated:
    Quantity
    Specify the amount of this product to be added. The Extended Price is automatically calculated.
    Price Level
    Displays the default price level for the product. Click the arrow and select an item from the list.
    Unit Price
    Specified the per unit price defined for the selected product.
    Note: The price can be modified only if the specified value is set to zero.
    If multi-currency is enabled:
    Opportunity
    Displays the unit price in the currency defined for the opportunity.
    Base
    Displays the unit price in the currency defined for your organization.
    Discount
    Specify a discount percentage. The number is automatically changed to a percent. For example, "50" is "50%". If you enter ".5", ".5%" is specified.

    The Extended and Adjusted Price are automatically calculated.

    Adjusted Price
    Specify the adjusted price using the opportunity currency.

    The Discount and Extended price are automatically recalculated.

    If multi-currency is enabled:
    Opportunity
    Displays the unit price in the currency defined for the opportunity.
    Base
    Displays the unit price in the currency defined for your organization.
    Extended Price
    Displays the calculated total of the product price multiplied by the quantity, less any discount.
    If multi-currency is enabled:
    Opportunity
    Displays the unit price in the currency defined for the opportunity.
    Base
    Displays the unit price in the currency defined for your organization.
  5. Use the Sub-Lines tab to view additional details in a Back Office Extension integrated environment. For specific questions please refer to the documentation for the integrated application or contact the administrator.
  6. Click OK.
