Deleting an account

When you delete an account, the application deletes the associated contact, history, notes and open activities. However you cannot delete the account until all the associated opportunities, sales orders, quotes, contacts with associated assets, returns, and tickets are deleted.

Note: Activities or history items associated with other records are retained, but the association with the deleted account is removed. If there are no other associated records, the activity or history item is also deleted.

To delete an account:

  1. Select Accounts from the Navigation bar.
  2. Find the account to be deleted.
  3. Click Delete in the Account detail view.
  4. Click OK.
