Sales order snapshot

You can view information about the selected sales order value in the Sales Order Snapshot in the top section of the Sales Order detail view. You can modify the information if required.

You can use the Copy to Email hyperlink to send an email with the sales order information specified into the email body. The information copied into the email includes the Account, Opportunity, date created, date promised, sales order ID, type, status, and comments. Additionally, the information also includes Product information, Billing and Shipping information, and value and summary information from the Sales Order Snapshot.

The information that displays in the Snapshot is based on the status of the sales order.

To copy sales order information into an email

  1. Access the Sales Order detail view:

    Select Sales Orders to view the Sales Order list view from the Navigation Bar. If required, use the Lookup to locate a sales order, and then click the sales order name. See Using lookup

  2. Click Copy to Email in the Sales Order Snapshot field.

    An email displays with the sales order information in the body of the email, the billing and shipping contacts in the To: field and the contact who requested the sales order in the Cc: field. The Subject field contains the sales order ID and the shipping account.

Note: If Multi-Currency is configured, the snapshot displays information for the base currency, sales order currency and the currency. Price information reflects the most recent currency code and exchange rate.

Sub Total The total cost of all of the products associated with the sales order, minus any discounts. No

  • The Local CRM Pricing Sales Order option is set to True, on the Options tab, in the Back Office Extension detail view.
  • The Back Office extension is disabled.
Shipping The cost of shipping the order to the customer. Click Shipping to modify. Yes

Tax The tax rate applied to the sales order. Click Tax to modify. Yes

Grand Total The total amount of the sales order including discounts, shipping cost and tax. No

Currency

(Multi-Currency only)

Displays the currency type if the sales order was created using a different currency type. To edit, click the currency type and find the new currency. See Finding records Yes

Exchange Rate

(Multi-Currency only)

Displays the exchange rate if the sales order was created using a different currency type. No

Exchange Rate Date

(Multi-Currency only)

Displays the date that the currency was set. No

Additional information is available if the implementation includes a Back Office Extension. See Back Office.

Based on the implementation you are required to promote the changes to the back office application. During sales order promotion, one of the following message is displayed:

Message Required Action
There are pending changes since the last promotion on <date and time of the last promotion>, pricing information may be incorrect. Please submit changes using the Promote link in the Task Pane. In the Task Pane, click Promote to promote the changes to the back office application. See Promote to back office
There are no pending changes since the last promotion on <date and time of the last promotion>. No action is required.
