Promoting Users to Infor OS Portal (Ming.le)

If the application is integrated with Infor OS Portal (Ming.le), application users who are added or updated are promoted to the Infor OS Portal (Ming.le) back office through the SecurityUserMaster BOD.

Note: The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access the following features.

Promoting a user creates a corresponding record in Infor OS Portal (Ming.le) and creates a link between the records in the application and Infor OS Portal (Ming.le).

By default, the SecurityUserMaster BOD Outbound on Update and Outbound on Create options are set to Automatic which means that users are automatically promoted when added or updated. However, you must manually promote a user under these conditions:

  • You require to promote existing application users to Infor OS Portal (Ming.le).
  • This implementation requires that added or updated users must be manually updated, i.e. the Outbound On Create or Outbound On Update options for the SecurityUserMaster BOD are set to User Triggered.
    • To determine if a user must be manually promoted, on the detail view, click the ERP Details tab and view the Sync Status. If the Sync Status is set as changes pending, you need to promote the changes to Infor OS Portal (Ming.le).
Note: All the users must:
  • Have a user name and email address.
  • Be assigned to at least one role before being promoted to Infor OS Portal (Ming.le).

To promote:

  1. Click Administration on the Navigation Bar.
  2. Click Users. The Users list view is displayed.
  3. Select one or more records.
    Note: To select more than one record, click Press Control or Shift, and highlight the records.
  4. Click Promote in the User Task Pane.
  5. Click OK.
