Configuring a Welcome page Charting widget
To configure a charting widget:
- Click Welcome on the Navigation pane.
- Select the required tab to add a widget to or contains the widget to modify.
- Add or modify a group list widget. See Using Welcome page widgets.

Configure
the settings
in
the Widget Settings
field
specific to the widget you are configuring. The options are:
- Bar
- Title
- The title displayed in the widget title bar.
- Caption
- The text that displays below the title to provide additional information.
- Entity
- The entity from which you require to pull the data. For example, Opportunities. All entities with list views are available to view in the charts and lists.
- Group
- The group for which you require to view data. For example, All Opportunities. All groups available to a user are available to use in the charts and lists.
- Dimension
- The data you require to view. For example, Probability.
All current Range and Distinct filters are
available as dimensions. Note: The available dimensions are dependent on the available entity filters and other configuration settings. See the system administrator for more information.
- Metric
- The way you require to calculate the data. For example, Total Actual Amount. All entities with list views have an associated count metric, for example, Lead Count and Count. There are additional metrics for Opportunities and History.
- X-Axis
- The label used to describe the data on the X axis of the chart.
- Y-Axis
- The label used to describe the data on the Y axis of the chart.
- Limit
- Specify the maximum number of items to be displayed in the chart. Depending on the selected Dimension, the limit do not apply.
- Display Labels
- Indicates
whether a display label is required in a chart. Possible
values:
- Yes
- No
- Truncate Labels
- Indicates
whether a labels fits in the chart. Possible values:
- Yes
- No
- Label Length
- The maximum length of a label before truncation.
- Column
- Title
- The title displayed on the widget title bar.
- Caption
- The text that displays below the title to provide additional information.

- The entity from which you require to pull the data. For example, Opportunities. All entities with list views are available to view in the charts and lists.
- Group
- The group for which you require to view data. For example, All Opportunities. All groups available to a user are available to use in the charts and lists.

- A horizontal line to a column chart to represent a numerical goal. For example, a sales revenue goal.
- X-Axis
- The label used to describe the data on the X axis of the chart.
- Y-Axis
- The label used to describe the data on the Y axis of the chart.
- Limit
- Type the maximum number of items to display on the chart. Based on the selected Dimension, the limit do not apply.
- Display Labels
- Indicates whether a display label
is required in a chart. Possible values:

- No

- Label Length

- Line
- Title

- Title

- Number of Slices
- Type a number to determine the maximum number of slices to include in the pie chart.
- Add Slice for 'Other'
- Select Yes for smaller options to be combined in a slice labeled Other if the number of options exceed the number of slices.

- Indicates whether to display a legend that describes the
components of a chart. Possible
values:
- Yes
- No
- Display Labels
- Indicates
whether a display label is required in a chart. Possible
values:
- Yes
- No
- Truncate Labels
- Indicates
whether a labels fits in the chart. Possible values:
- Yes
- No
- Label Length
- The maximum length of a label before truncation.
- Bar
- Click OK.
