Using Territory Realignment
Use territory realignment to reassign ownership of accounts.
Note: A territory realignment also updates the owner of these
related items: Contacts, Opportunities, Sales Orders, Quotes, Tickets, and
Returns.
Rules:
- Territory realignment realigns all opportunities including closed opportunities.
- To realign a user accounts, the user must be active.
- You can realign an inactive or retired user accounts, but you must realign accounts to an active user.
- Remote user subscription automatically updates based on account reassignment.
- Before you realign teams, ensure you have created the team to give ownership of the accounts.
