Updating multiple opportunities

You can update multiple opportunities simultaneously in the Bulk Action Update window.

To update multiple opportunities:

  1. Click Opportunities on the Navigation Bar.
  2. Access the group that contains the opportunities that you require to update.
  3. Select one or more records. To select more than one record, press [Ctrl] or [Shift], and highlight the records.
  4. Click Update from the Task Pane. See Using the Task Pane
  5. Select the information you require to update in the Bulk Action Update window.
  6. Specify the information in the remaining fields to define the updated value.
    The remaining fields are based on the information you are updating.
    Note: This application is highly customizable. The options available to update can be different.
    Add to Forecast
    Select Yes to include opportunities in forecasting reports, or select No to exclude opportunities from forecasting reports.
    Close Probability
    In the To: field, specify the number that represents the likelihood that a sale can close. For example, if there is an 80% chance that an opportunity can close, specify 80.
    Estimated Close
    You must perform one of the following steps:
    • To move the estimated close date to a specific date, select the To: option, click Calendar, select a new date, and click OK.
    • To move the estimated close date forward a certain number of days, click the Move option, select Forward and specify the number of days you require to move the date forward.
    • To move the estimated close date backwards a certain number of days, select the Move option, select Backward and specify the number of days you require to move the date backwards.
    Notes
    Specify your notes in the To: field.
    Type
    Select the type from the To: list.
    Account Manager
    Click the To: Find, select a new account manager from the list, and click OK.
    Divisional Manager
    Click the To: Find, select a new manager from the list and click OK.
    Owner
    Click the To: Find, select a new owner from the list and click OK.
    Regional Manager
    Click the To: Find, select a new manager from the list and click OK.
  7. Click Add Property and repeat steps 5-7 until you have selected and defined all of the information you require to update to add another property.
  8. Click OK.
