Configuring SpeedSearch Settings

You can configure the maximum search results, the type of messages recorded to the Windows Event log, and the criteria used for determining if an item is considered a frequent solution if your company uses SpeedSearch.
Note: The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features. See What are Roles and Secured Actions?.
  1. Select Administration > SpeedSearch Manager on the navigation bar.
  2. Click SpeedSearch Settings in the SpeedSearch Tasks task pane.
  3. Specify the maximum number of hits that need to be returned from a search in the Maximum Search Results.
Note: The Web Client uses this value to determine the stop limit for a search. If you specify more than ten digits, the value reverts to 2147483647 (the integer string value).
  4. Select the items that need to be included in Windows Event Log for the SpeedSearch service in Windows Event Logging.
  5. Click OK
