Adding or modifying an alternate address

You can use the Address window to change address information. You can have as many custom addresses as required for a contact or an account. However, you can select only one primary billing address and only one primary shipping address.

To add or modify alternate address, you must first access the Address window:

  1. Click the Addresses tab on the Account, Contact or Lead detail view. If the tab is not visible, click More Tabs, and select the tab from the list. Click the Edit link of the address you require to modify, or click Add Address to add a new address.
    Note: To modify a address you can:
    • Click Edit Address on the Contact, Account or Lead detail view.
    • Click the Edit Address on the Sales Order detail view, on the Bill/Ship Address tab.
  2. To add or modify:
    1. Select a description for the address, and click OK in the Description field.
    2. Select or clear the Primary, Primary Billing, or Primary Shipping check boxes as required.
    3. Specify or modify the address information in the address fields.
    4. Select a value from the list, and click OK in the City, State, or Country fields.
    5. Click the Postal Code field and specify any changes.
    6. Click the County field and specify any changes.
    7. Click the Attention field and specify the salutation to use for mailed correspondence.
    8. Click OK.
