Creating a copy of a user

When you create a copy of an existing user, all the data is copied except user specific information such as, the user name, email address, and other personal information.

Note: You cannot copy a Retired user. However, you can use a Retired user profile as the template for a new user.

To create a copy of the user:

  1. Access the User detail view of the user that must be copied. See User detail view
  2. Click Copy User in the Common Tasks pane.
  3. Click OK to confirm.
    The new user is displayed in the user list as Copy of user name.
  4. Change the user profile with information specific to the new user. See Changing a user profile
  5. Click Save.
