Modifying the CreatePivot custom setting

You can modify the CreatePivot custom setting for exporting groups to Microsoft Excel. The CreatePivot setting determines if the predefined pivot tables can be exported to Microsoft Excel or not. This setting is a global setting for all users. By default this option is turned On.

Note: The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features.

To modify CreatePivot custom setting:

  1. Click Administration on the Navigation Bar.
  2. Click Custom Settings. The Custom Settings list view is displayed.
  3. Click the country name. The Countries detail view is displayed.
  4. Select Administration, and select Custom Settings to access the Custom Settings list view from the Navigation bar. See Using the Custom Settings list view
  5. Select the CreatePivot group.
  6. Select CreatePivot from the list.
  7. View or modify these fields:
    Category
    Verify the category is Group. Do not modify this information.
    Key
    Verify the description is CreatePivot. Do not modify this information.
    Data Value
    Perform one of the following:
    • Type true to allow data in a group to be exported to a pivot table. This is the default value.
    • Type false to remove the predefined pivot tables from exports to Excel.
    Data Type
    Leave blank.
    Validation
    Leave blank.
    Version
    Add or modify the version number to indicate a change was made.

    The version number does not increment automatically.

  8. Click Save.
