Scheduling a literature request

You can schedule a literature request to send the marketing material or other documents to one or more contacts. After you schedule a request, the person or group at the company, responsible for literature fulfillment, can fulfill the data and complete the request.

If you are making the request for a single contact, select the contact and perform these steps to schedule a literature request:

Select Literature Request from the Schedule menu.

Note: You can also click Schedule on the Literature Requests view. See Managing literature requests
Specify this information:
Description

A brief description of the literature request.

Request for

The entity for which the request is scheduled. Possible values:
- Contact: Click Lookup and select a contact to create the request for a single contact. The application populates this value if scheduled from the Contact detail view.
- Group: To create the request for a group of contacts, select Group and select contacts from the list.
- Opportunity: To create the request for an opportunity, select, click Lookup Opportunity, use the lookup to select an opportunity, and click Close.
Send by Calendar

Used to select a date by when the request must be sent. Click OK after you select the date.

Handle Fulfillment Locally

Used to save the file after you schedule the literature request.

Send via

The delivery method used to send the literature request.

Priority

The priority to send the literature request.

Print literature list

Used to save the list with the cover letter, on a separate page (from the cover letter), attachment list only, or save only the cover letter (no list).

Cover (Find)

To use a template as the cover letter, select the template you require to use.

Available Items

You can select the items you want to include in the request.

Filter (available items)

If required, you can specify any characters contained in the family, number or name of the item you want to add.

Quantity

The number of copies of that item you require to request.
Click OK.
