Rebuilding the database schema

You can use rebuilding the database schema to update the database structure to match the entity model. You must rebuild the database schema after creating a new entity or editing an entity or after installing a bundle with entity changes.

Note: The system administrator and users with the required permissions can use this option. This feature is not available for Oracle implementations.

To rebuild the database schema:

  1. Click Rebuild Database Schema from the Developer Tools menu. The Rebuild Database Schema window is displayed.
  2. Click Rebuild Schema. The schema rebuilds and the status displays in the status field.
  3. Click Close.
    Note: This window can be closed at any time after the rebuild is started. The rebuild continues till completion. Once completed you can view the log information.
