Modifying or customizing a Price Service

Price Services provide application users with product pricing and availability information when generating a new quote or sales order in application. The Back Office Price Services provide the definitions of integrated back office application pricing services for the application integration. You can only modify a custom price service. See Back Office

Note:

The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features. See What are Roles and Secured Actions?
 If using OAuth 2.0 first obtain an authorized app ION API’ credentials file for the application authorized app service account. For more information, see Working with the ION API download file

To modify or customize a price service:

Click the Price Services tab on the Back Office detail view, and perform one of these:
- To customize a price service, click the Customize link. Once customized, the Customize link is replaced with the Edit link which indicates that the selected price service is customized.
- To modify a price service, click the Edit link.
Complete the information fields based on the authentication type and ERP:
Click Save.
- OAuth 2 authentication
  - CSD/SX.e. See CSD/SX.e with OAuth 2.0 authentication price service information
  - LN. See LN with OAuth 2.0 authentication price service information
  - M3. See M3 with OAuth 2.0 authentication price service information
- Anonymous authentication
  - LX. See LX with anonymous authentication price service information
Note:
- The Price Service detail view is in read-only mode unless the selected price service is customized. To customize the selected price service, click the Customize link. The Customize link is replaced with the Edit link which indicates that the selected price service is customized. See Modifying or customizing a Price Service
- To implement Prospect Pricing for opportunities, quotes, and sales orders of unpromoted accounts, in the Add/Edit Back Office Accounting Entity dialog box, you must define the Default Customer ID field with the ERP-based customer number to use for price service requests of opportunities, quotes, and sales orders of unpromoted accounts.
