What is Marketo Partitions
The Marketo Partitions functionality can be used to link a contact or lead to multiple partitions and vice versa. Consequently various marketing teams can approach (market) the same contact or lead and the results can be tracked independently.
When a contact or lead is associated with more than one Marketo partition, separate records are created in the application, for each of these partitions. The application user identified as the
of a contact or lead is different for each record. This is because the application Owner data is aligned with the Partition Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) data.Note:
- The Marketo Partitions functionality is optional.
- To implement the Partitions functionality in CRM, you must first configure Partitions in Marketo.
