Dragging and Dropping
Use the drag and drop feature to rearrange portions of the application interface or add attachments. If you have installed Xbar, you can also drag and drop Microsoft Outlook email messages to the application.
Using drag and drop feature you can:
- Rearrange items in the
interface:
- Move the mouse over the item you require to move. If the tab can be moved, the cursor changes.
- Press and hold the mouse on the item
and drag it to the desired position.
For example, another position in a grid, on the tab bar, in the More Tabs area, or in the user defined middle section.
- Release the mouse.
- Attach a file:
Note: Drag and drop is not available on the history or activity Attachments tabs
- Browse to the file you require to add.
- Drag the file and drop it onto the
appropriate record detail view.
The Add Attachment(s) window is displayed.
- In the Description field, specify a description for the file if the default description is not clear.
- Click .
- Record an email message to
history:
- Access the detail view of the appropriate contact, account, lead, opportunity or ticket.
- In Microsoft Outlook select the email message you require to add to the application.
- Click the message and press and
hold your mouse on the item and drag it to the open detail view in the
application
Based on the options, you are prompted to specify history information.
