Updating currency

After you change the conversion rates for currencies, you must update all open opportunities, sales orders, and quotes using those currencies. All currencies modified by you are updated in the relevant record types. If a record type rate is locked, the record type is not updated.

Note: This feature is not available on all list views or for all users.

To update currency for one or more record types:

  1. Select Administration, and click Exchange Rates to access the Exchange Rates list view on the Navigation Bar. See Using the Exchange Rates list view
  2. Use the Exchange Rate detail view to update the Conversion Rate for each currency you require to update. See Using the Exchange Rate detail view
  3. Review the Group or Lookup results that contain the records you require to update.
  4. Select one or more records. To select more than one record, press [Ctrl] or [Shift], and highlight the records.
    Note: If you do not select any records, you are asked if all records in the group must be used. If you click Yes, all group records are selected.
  5. Select Update Exchange Rate from the Task Pane. See Using the Task Pane
  6. Select one or more of these fields in the Update Currency window:
    Sales Orders
    If an open sales order is using an modified currency, the sales order is auto updated.
    Opportunities
    If an unlocked open opportunity is using an modified currency, the opportunity, is auto updated.
    Quotes
    If an open quote is using an modified currency, the open quote is auto updated.
  7. Click OK.
